Matthew Shoup is the founder and lead investigator for Shoup Investigation Services. He is best known for his positive attitude, professional demeanor and analytical approach to solving any problem presented to him. These qualities are brought to every case and make Matt a successful investigator. A native of Northern California, Matt has lived and worked in numerous parts of the state and has extensive knowledge of the area. In addition to attending college and earning his bachelor's degree in business management, Matt also has a background in finance. He is well rounded and eager to serve you and your investigative needs.

Matt recognized a need to serve his community early on and started his career in Law Enforcement in 2003. While working in Marin County, Matt was assigned as a patrol officer, field training officer, detective, evidence custodian corporal and acting sergeant. As a detective, Matt was the lead investigator for all types of crime, giving him a wide experience base and knowledge of the skills needed to operate in this field. These include crimes against persons such as robberies and homicides, property crimes which included burglaries and thefts, fraud, embezzlement, and identity theft. Matt is also a graduate of the Robert Presley Institute for Criminal Investigation. This institute focused on honing the skills of its students over hundreds of hours of coursework, case assessments, live exercises, and constant performance evaluations.

Matt holds himself to a high standard of professionalism, integrity and thoroughness. His team of investigators are former law enforcement, licensed investigators and professionals with expertise.
